WELCOME TO THE Kalasakhi – A Friend in Art & Empowerment Foundation

Kalasakhi -A Friend in Art & Empowerment Foundation is a registered non-profit based in Gurugram, Haryana. We work towards uplifting underprivileged children and women through education, nutrition, skill development, and creative arts. Our initiatives include distributing school kits and meals, empowering women with handmade product training, organizing art workshops, feeding street dogs, and building a stronger, compassionate community.
WHAT WE DO
At Kalasakhi, we envision a world where art becomes a bridge to opportunity, equality, and dignity. We believe every child and woman, regardless of their background, deserves access to creativity, education, and empowerment. Through art, culture, and community engagement, we aspire to nurture hidden talents, spark confidence, and create self-sustaining communities that thrive with hope and joy.

we believe good health begins with good food. Many underprivileged children and women lack access to balanced meals, leading to poor growth, weak immunity, and lost opportunities. Through our nutrition program, we provide wholesome meals filled with grains, proteins, vegetables, and fruits, ensuring strength, energy, and dignity. For children, it means better focus in studies and joyful childhoods. For women, it means healthier lives and confidence to move forward. With every meal, we nourish bodies, nurture hope, and build a brighter tomorrow.

we believe every child deserves the right tools to learn, grow, and dream big. Many underprivileged children attend school without basic supplies, making it difficult for them to focus on their studies.Through our School Bag Donation Program, we provide children with school bags, drawing books, notebooks, pencils, and other essential supplies. A simple bag filled with learning materials brings joy, confidence, and motivation, ensuring that no child feels left behind.By gifting these resources, we not only support education but also spread happiness, dignity, and hope for a better future.

Big Title
Kalasakhi Mission
At Kalasakhi – A Friend in the Art and Empowerment Foundation, our mission is rooted in the belief that every child and woman deserves the opportunity to live with dignity, health, education, and joy. We are dedicated to creating a compassionate ecosystem where art, education, nutrition, and community care come together to empower underprivileged communities. Kalasakhi is more than just an initiative—it is a friend, a guide, and a support system that nurtures brighter futures.
Art and culture hold a special place in our mission. We see art as a medium of healing, expression, and empowerment. Through workshops, exhibitions, and community events, Kalasakhi offers children and women the chance to explore their talents, tell their stories, and develop skills that can open pathways for livelihoods. Whether it is pottery, painting, or handmade crafts, each activity helps participants connect with their inner strength and cultural roots while also offering economic opportunities.
Community building is another cornerstone of Kalasakhi. Our mission is to create inclusive, caring spaces where people can come together, share experiences, and support one another. We organize community melas, festivals, and awareness programs to spread joy, build solidarity, and encourage collective growth. These gatherings not only bring smiles but also raise awareness about issues such as health, gender equality, and education.
At the heart of Kalasakhi’s mission lies women empowerment. We believe when women thrive, families and communities thrive. By training women in craft-based livelihoods, supporting self-help groups, and promoting financial independence, we aim to give them the tools and confidence to shape their own destinies. Every diya painted, every craft created, becomes a symbol of hope and empowerment.
Ultimately, Kalasakhi’s mission is to spread happiness while building strong foundations for the future. Through nourishment, learning, art, and empowerment, we envision a society where no child goes to bed hungry, no woman feels powerless, and every individual has the chance to shine. Together, with compassion and creativity, Kalasakhi works to turn small efforts into big changes—one meal, one book, one smile at a time.

Kalasakhi – Handmade with Heart

Kalasakhi empowers underprivileged children and women by turning creativity into opportunity. Through our pottery, painting, soap, candle, and festive craft workshops, we spread art and learning. Our handmade soaps, candles, diyas, hampers, and crafts are not just products—they are pathways to education, nutrition, and livelihood. Every workshop you join and every product you buy helps us create smiles, empower women, and brighten young futures. 💛
Why Volunteer with Us?
At Kalasakhi, every volunteer becomes part of a journey where small actions create big smiles. From helping children paint their first picture, distributing school bags filled with stationery, to guiding women in making soaps and Diwali diyas—our volunteers are the heartbeat of our mission.Volunteering isn’t just about giving time; it’s about receiving joy in return. The laughter of children during art workshops, the pride on a woman’s face when she sells her first handmade product, or the warmth of sharing a nutritious meal—all of these moments remind us why compassion matters. Our volunteers come from diverse backgrounds—students, professionals, homemakers—but they all share one thing: the belief that creativity can change lives. Whether it’s teaching a craft, organizing a mela, or supporting a festival celebration, each effort adds to the colorful canvas of Kalasakhi.
